Job summary

FALCATA seeks an Electronics Rework Technician in Huntsville, AL to support our production division. You will perform electronic/electro-mechanical rework, interpret wiring and assembly drawings, and assist in training junior staff.

The role requires soldering proficiency, IPC-610 or related certifications, and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include inspecting assemblies, performing PCB rework, ensuring IPC standards, and documenting outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics education preferred.
• Proven electronics technician experience, preferably rework/repair.
• Proficient soldering techniques (through-hole, SMT).
• Familiar with testing equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, generators.
• Strong schematic and PCB understanding; able to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assemblies to identify defects or issues.
• Use soldering irons and rework stations to replace components.
• Modify PCBs and assemblies according to instructions.
• Ensure IPC-A-610 soldering/assembly compliance.
• Visually inspect solder joints and component placement.
• Troubleshoot failures and implement corrective actions.
• Document rework activities and test results.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve processes.
• Maintain organized work area and ensure safety protocols.
