Job summary

FALCATA in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Electronics Rework Technician to support our production division at the Discovery location. You will perform assembly, rework, and modifications on prototypes and production hardware according to IPC standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting assemblies, soldering with hot-air rework stations, reading wiring lists, and collaborating with engineers to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in electronics rework/repair preferred.
• Proficiency in soldering through-hole and surface-mount.
• Experience reading wiring lists, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes independently.
• IPC-610, J-STD, IPC-7711/7721, IPC-620 certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production hardware.
• Assists in development and wiring of engineering models and assembly methods.
• Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and align components.
• Reads and interprets wiring lists and assembly drawings and works to work orders.
• Troubleshoots assemblies to identify root causes and implements corrective actions.
