ModRetro Inc. in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a seasoned Purchasing Leader to build and own the end-to-end procurement function for electronics components and materials. You will establish policies, lead ERP/MRP-based processes, and develop a high-performing supplier base to support NPI and production.

Responsibilities include negotiating terms, reducing cost and lead times, managing supplier performance, and creating dashboards to reveal spend, savings, and risk. Travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years purchasing/procurement in electronics.
• Experience buying electronic components.
• Strong negotiation on pricing and terms.
• Understanding of component supply chains and lifecycle.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and process improvements.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.

Aufgaben

• Build and establish purchasing function from the ground up.
• Define and implement purchasing processes in ERP/MRP.
• Develop and maintain supplier base across components and tooling.
• Lead RFQ/RFP activities and select suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, capacity and risk.
• Improve cost and lead time through supplier development and alternate sourcing.
• Monitor component availability and mitigate supply risks.
• Create purchasing reports and KPIs for spend, savings, supplier performance and risks.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, planning, finance and operations to meet material requirements.
