Job summary

Apptronik seeks a Global Supply Manager - Electrical & Electronics to own sourcing strategy for PCB, PCBA/EMS, harnessing, compute modules, and board-level components. You will define supply-base architecture, run RFQs/RFPs, and lead supplier selection and contracts.

You will develop should-cost models, negotiate terms, and drive multi-year cost-reduction roadmaps with engineering. This role requires international supplier qualification and strong executive communication.

Qualifications

• Direct ownership of electronics commodities in a strategic sourcing or global supply role.
• Hands-on experience in PCB fabrication, PCBA/EMS, wire harness and/or compute hardware, sensors.
• Proven should-cost modeling capability with quantified results in electronics categories.
• Experience developing commodity cost roadmaps and driving design-to-cost, VA/VE, and cost-reduction initiatives with engineering.
• Experience qualifying suppliers internationally and managing regional footprint and concentration risk.
• Ability to read schematics, BOMs, fabrication and harness drawings, and test specifications with engineering.
• Experience managing semiconductor allocation, long-lead materials, NCNR commitments, lifecycle risk, EOL, and last-time buys.
• Experience owning commercial agreements end to end.
• Strong spreadsheet and modeling skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Own commodity strategy for PCB fabrication, PCBA/EMS, wire harness and cable assembly, compute modules, sensors and perception hardware.
• Define the supply-base architecture for each commodity, including prototype partner, volume partner, regional alternate.
• Create RFQs/RFPs, and lead supplier selection and contract award.
• Develop should-cost models addressing real cost drivers and labor content.
• Negotiate pricing, NRE, tooling, MOQs, NCNR commitments, capacity reservations, and terms; own MSAs and LTAs.
• Own commodity cost targets and multi-year cost-reduction roadmaps including design-to-cost and VA/VE.
• Maintain costed-BOM visibility for assigned commodities and identify gaps against program BOM targets.
• Drive dual/multi-source coverage and build redundancy into single-sourced supply.
• Build and maintain AVL/AML strategy including qualification criteria and footprint requirements.
• Own component-level supply-risk strategy including LOIs, EOL and last-time-buy events.
• Assess country-of-origin, tariffs, export-controls, and regional-concentration risks.
• Develop sourcing strategies for COO, localization, and domestic-content requirements.
• Ensure suppliers can support prototype, pilot, and ramp on schedule.
• Engage with engineering during NPI to influence selection and sourceability ahead of release.
• Own supplier performance with scorecards and business reviews; present to leadership.
• Transition awarded suppliers to buyer/planners with pricing, lead times, and escalation paths.
