Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in San Jose, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement for semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing operations. You will source materials, manage supplier relationships, ensure timely delivery, and maintain material availability to support production, engineering, and NPI.

Responsibilities include executing POs, monitoring supply, coordinating ECOs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

2–4 years purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech industries.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Execute purchase orders and procurement activities based on MRP and production requirements.
Monitor material availability and resolve supply issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Manage supplier performance and cost competitiveness.
Develop relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Coordinate ECOs and support revised materials implementations.
Support NPI sourcing, quotes, and procurement planning.
Maintain material master and purchasing data in ERP systems.
Track supplier lead times and inventory; analyze purchasing trends.
