Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing in Batavia Township, OH is hiring a Material Handler 1 to support inbound receipt and outbound shipments of electronic components. You will inspect parts for damage, log items into inventory software, and package them using anti-static materials while following ESD controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years experience in material handling preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to identify and distinguish similar part numbers and electronic components.
• Basic computer, math, and data-entry skills.
• Ability to read labels, work instructions, and inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Unload and verify incoming shipments against orders, invoices, and packing slips.
• Inspect components for damage and verify part numbers, serial numbers, and specs.
• Use reel counters, scales, scanners, and equipment to verify quantities.
• Count components stored in reels, trays, tubes, and bags.
• Compare physical quantities to inventory records and report discrepancies.
• Complete inventory transfers and transactions in the computer system.
• Verify lot numbers, dates, PO information, and storage locations.
• Maintain labeling and traceability of components.
• Package products securely to prevent transit damage using anti-static materials.
• Identify and separate damaged or nonconforming materials.
• Follow procedures for moisture-sensitive and static-sensitive components.
• Adhere to ESD controls and FIFO inventory rotation.
• Monitor locations and report shortages, overages, or mislabeling.
• Keep shelves and work areas clean and organized.
• Operate carts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other equipment safely.
• Follow safety, quality, and inventory-control procedures.
