Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to set up and maintain production lines used to repair and upgrade returned customer products. You will support technicians in diagnosing electronic systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

In this hands-on role, you will design test fixtures, troubleshoot failures, collect repair data, and mentor staff while following established safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in microprocessor- or microcontroller-based product design or manufacturing.
• Electronics manufacturing/testing/repair background strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup of new production line equipment to test, repair, and upgrade electronic products.
• Design, construct, and maintain test fixtures and test systems (hardware, software, mechanical).
• Troubleshoot product failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned units.
• Collect repair data and maintain repair records and databases.
• Mentor technicians and provide troubleshooting guidance to operations staff.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during repairs and testing.
• Collaborate with product development to address design corrections and recurring failures.
• Support technicians in diagnosing and repairing electronic systems.
