Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electronics Engineer to support FAA facility modernization efforts in Des Plaines, IL. The role focuses on planning, design, and development of project scopes, schedules, costs, and drawings in coordination with facility stakeholders.

This is an in-office position five days a week with a 30% travel requirement. Responsibilities include on-site surveys, AutoCAD/MicroStation design, risk management, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience, or MSc with less than 2 years of prior experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate with stakeholders and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site surveys to develop to-scale designs and detailed reports.
• Generate sketches showing relation of proposed installation with exact specifications.
• Coordinate design components with multidisciplinary teams for site modifications and new construction.
• Perform project management tasks including safety plans and risk management documents.
• Review project deliverables and communicate findings clearly.
