Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electronics Engineer for the FAA Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group in Fort Worth, TX. The role supports the NISC IV program with project planning, design, schedules, costs, and risk management in coordination with multiple stakeholders.

This in-office position requires 5 days a week in Fort Worth, TX and includes up to 30% travel. A degree in electronics or electrical engineering with relevant experience is required, along with proficiency in AutoCAD or

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electronics or electrical engineering and required experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD / MicroStation and scheduling tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site surveys to develop scalable designs and detailed reports.
• Generate sketches showing relations of proposed installations with exact specs.
• Participate in construction pre-inspections and final inspections.
• Coordinate design components with multi-disciplinary teams for site mods and new construction.
• Prepare and review AutoCAD construction drawings and site specs and cost estimates.
• Manage project tasks and communications including safety plans and cutover plans.
• Create and track Integrated Risk Management Checklists and risk registers.
• Coordinate and obtain Work Permits for potential lead and asbestos concerns.
• Attend pre-construction and on-site meetings with stakeholders to coordinate ongoing work.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate construction activities to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Oversee on-site cutovers, testing and restoration of facilities.
• Provide periodic project updates to team and management.
• Review FAA-designed engineering project deliverables and communicate findings.
• Perform circuit analysis on new and existing equipment.
