Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer or Principal Engineer Electronics - Comms to join our Aeronautics Systems team. This onsite role is available at multiple sites including Palmdale, CA.

You will perform SMT Communications tasks, collaborate with engineers, and develop design solutions for avionics subsystems while supporting government clearances and SAP access. Travel up to 25% is required. The role offers competitive salary bands and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in STEM with 2+ years for Engineer role; Master's with no experience allowed.
Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years for Principal Engineer; Master's with 3 years or PhD with no experience.
Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems.
Ability to obtain US Government Secret Clearance in a timely manner.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

Perform SOW-based supplier/subcontract management for COMMs avionics subsystems.
Ensure supplier/AV design compliance with program requirements.
Document designs with schematics, diagrams, and specs.
Collaborate with subcontract engineers and stakeholders to meet performance and environmental requirements.
Travel up to 25%.
