Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Electronics Design Engineering Intern to contribute to electrical system prototyping, design, bring-up, and validation for Rivian electric vehicles and accessories. The role requires onsite, full-time commitment for the Spring 2027 term and prohibits visa sponsorship.

You will create PoCs, design analog/digital/mixed-signal circuits, run simulations, and develop PCBAs with documentation and reviews throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, masters, or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Experience with schematic capture and layout tools (Altium, OrCAD, PADS).
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer).

Responsibilities

• Create proof of concept deliverables for next generation circuits.
• Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits to Rivian standards.
• Perform circuit simulations and analyses to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Develop custom PCBAs, prototype firmware, and simple mechanical fixtures.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues at the board and system level.
• Generate design documentation, including specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
