Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical datasheets.
• Familiarity with BOMs, ECAD (Altium), CAD Viewer (Solidworks, Viewer), PLM systems (Windchill, Teamcenter, Agile), ERP (JDE, SAP) and Requirements Management Systems (PTC Integrity, Polarion).
• Knowledge of obsolescence management tools (e.g. Silicon Expert, IHS Markit, Octopart)
• Proficient in data analysis tools such as Power BI or Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) to support component lifecycle and sourcing decisions.
• Strong foundation in circuit analysis in various electronics circuitry such as power, analog, and digital.
• Experience with fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for component lifecycle status including obsolescence and EOL parts.
• Interface with internal teams, contract manufacturers, component databases and distributors for obsolescence data.
• Drive awareness through collaboration and meetings on BOM health of electronics portfolio.
• Assess PCN impact and drive actions to stakeholders.
• Perform technical component evaluation and qualification strategy to meet design requirements.
• Support sustaining R&D engineers with qualification efforts and documentation.
• Explore component cost-down opportunities with category managers.
• Support ECOs and related documentation releases to contract manufacturers.
