The role emphasizes PCBA components, lifecycle management, cost modeling, and mitigating supply-chain risk, with responsibilities in sourcing decisions, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering on NPD.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in electronics procurement, strong cost-analysis skills, and familiarity with lead-time

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of PCBA assemblies, component lifecycle management, and electronics market trends.
• Intermediate to advanced cost analysis skills (should-cost modeling, TCO analysis).
• Familiarity with supply-chain risk management, including lead-time variability and part obsolescence.
• Effective negotiation and contract management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies to support cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Manage sourcing decisions, cost negotiations, and supplier performance for assigned categories.
• Drive continuous improvement in pricing, lead times, and supply assurance.
• Partner with engineering on new product development (NPD) for component and assembly sourcing.
• Identify alternate sources for critical or obsolete electronic components.
• Support make/buy decisions and cost-modeling for electronics assemblies.
