Job summary

Nidec Corporation, a leader in electrification, is seeking a Commodity Manager for its Aerospace team to build the supply base for electric propulsion systems. The role focuses on PCBA’s, electronics and mechanical components, coordinating with NPD and production teams to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing.

Ideal candidates have extensive procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and a background in electronics or electro-mechanical industries, with MBA and CPM/CPSM certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business admin, management, economics or supply chain.
• Experience sourcing goods/services in a program development and manufacturing context.
• Strong experience negotiating long-term supply agreements in aerospace/industrial markets.
• Background in electronics/electrical-mechanical industries.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience.
• U.S. Visa and Passport required.
• English proficiency and ability to work in a large corporate matrix.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities for PCBA’s, electronics, electrical and mechanical components.
• Manage supply chains, sourcing, reviewing and buying commodities.
• Perform cost analyses using Should Cost and TCO concepts.
• Evaluate market supply bases and expand supplier networks.
• Negotiate long-term agreements to maximize sourcing potential.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, QA, Sales and Engineering to ensure smooth flow of goods.
