Job summary

Hire Energy Staffing is seeking an SMT Operator to work in Garland, TX on a 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm, Mon–Fri). Pay ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience. You will operate SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI.

Familiarity with PCB assembly and BOMs is required; IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 knowledge is a plus. Must have SMT operator experience and be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform component feeder operation and setup.
• Perform solder paste stencil printing, stencil printer operation
• Operate reflow oven
• Identify surface mount components
• Load machine programs and adjust for print/placement quality

• Troubleshoot basic machines
• Meet daily production requirements
• Set up and manage SMT line
• Apply IPC-A-610 standards to improve process/quality
• Follow IPC J-STD-001 certification guidelines

Job description

Job Title: SMT OPERATOR

Location: Garland, TX 75041

Hours: 2nd Shift: (3:00pm-11:30pm) Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:$18.00 - $23/hr (Depending on Experience)

Looking for motivated individuals with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) operation set up experience. Candidate should be familiar with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly particularly working with SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines.

**An understanding of the SMT Assembly Process is required which includes the identification of SMT component packages.

**Certification in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

8. Perform basic machine troubleshooting.
9. Able to operate equipment efficiently as measured by daily production requirements.
10. Verify and meet acceptable quality standards.
11. Set up, operate and manage SMT line.
12. Use knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards to help improve manufacturing process and quality.
13. Use CIS or CIT / IPC J-STD-001 certification.

Work Location: In person, Garland, TX
