Job summary

Accelera in the United States is seeking an experienced Electronics/SMT Process Technician to join our established electronics manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on SMT, electronics assembly, and automated manufacturing, with troubleshooting responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will improve quality, efficiency, and production flow on the shop floor, create work instructions, and support new product introductions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, SMT, or related environment.
• Experience as an SMT operator, electronics technician, or process technician.
• Strong understanding of electronics assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Comfortable on the production floor with operators and equipment.
• Ability to read technical docs, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Familiar with basic measurement tools and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day electronics manufacturing and production operations.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues with production and engineering teams.
• Support SMT, Through-Hole, Selective Soldering, Conformal Coating, Test Systems, Assembly, and Material Handling processes.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot recurring production problems and help determine root causes.
• Assist with SMT equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, and process optimization.
• Review production data and identify trends, defects, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with new product introductions and production launches.
• Help implement process changes and improvements on the production floor.
• Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
• Assist with fixtures, tooling, equipment, and process improvements.
• Help train operators on new or updated processes.
• Work with production personnel to reduce defects and improve yields.

Starting Pay: $25 - $30/hour - starting rate base on prior experience

Shift: Daylight Shift, Monday - Friday

We're currently hiring an experienced Electronics / SMT Process Technician for a well-established electronics manufacturing organization. This is a hands-on position for someone with experience in SMT, electronics assembly, or automated manufacturing who can troubleshoot production issues and help the team improve its processes.

You do not need to be an engineer for this role. We are seeking an experienced electronics technician or SMT operator who understands how electronics manufacturing works and can help identify ways to improve quality, efficiency, and production flow.

What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day electronics manufacturing and production operations
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot process and equipment issues
• Support SMT, Through-Hole, Selective Soldering, Conformal Coating, Test Systems, Assembly, and Material Handling processes

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, SMT, or a related production environment
• Experience as an SMT operator, electronics technician, process technician, or similar hands-on manufacturing role
• Strong understanding of electronics assembly and manufacturing processes
• Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Comfortable working directly on the production floor with operators and equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, work instructions, and engineering drawings
• Comfortable using basic measurement tools and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a production team

Preferred Experience

• SMT equipment and automated assembly equipment
• Through-Hole soldering experience
• Selective soldering or conformal coating
• IPC standards and electronics assembly practices
• Process improvement or Lean Manufacturing
• Data collection and analysis
