Job summary

Hire Energy Staffing is seeking a motivated SMT Operator for the Garland, TX area. The role focuses on setting up and operating SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens, with AOI involvement for quality checks.

The ideal candidate has SMT experience, can read BOMs, and is familiar with IPC-A-610 standards. On-site work is required with a 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and a pay rate of $18.00-$23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have SMT operator experience.
• Familiar with PCB assembly and SMT equipment.
• Ability to read BOMs and understand assembly drawings.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform component feeder operation and setup.
• Perform solder paste stencil printing and stencil printer operation.
• Operate reflow oven.
• Identify surface mount components.
• Load machine programs and adjust for quality soldering/placement.
• Read and interpret BOMs.
• Maintain clear communication with team.
• Troubleshoot basic SMT equipment issues.
• Meet daily production targets efficiently.
• Verify adherence to quality standards.
• Set up, operate, and manage SMT line.
• Apply IPC-A-610 standards to improve process and quality.
• Comply with IPC/J-STD-001 certifications.

Job Title: SMT OPERATOR

Location: Garland, TX 75041

Hours: 2nd Shift: (3:00pm-11:30pm) Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23/hr (Depending on Experience)

Looking for motivated individuals with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) operation set up experience. Candidate should be familiar with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly particularly working with SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines.

An understanding of the SMT Assembly Process is required which includes the identification of SMT component packages.

Certification in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 is a plus.

13. Use CIS or CIT / IPC J-STD-001 certification.

Requirements

• Prior Experience as a SMT Operator
• Able to work on your feet most of the shift
