BAE Systems is looking for an Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, and test complex real-time embedded EW systems. Motivated and positive-minded engineers must hold an active U.S. security clearance and be skilled in areas needed for cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams. We focus on enhancing operational EW capabilities across various platforms, developing RF sensing, signal processing, identification, detection, and geolocation of emitters.

This position involves developing, integrating, and testing new EW systems. Responsibilities include developing and managing system requirements, operational concepts, performing trade studies, originating design concepts, and system testing for complex EW systems. Due to the nature of this role, it requires full-time onsite work at a BAE Systems facility.

Responsibilities may include:
  1. Working on a team of hardware, software, and systems engineers on EW programs, performing functions such as:
  • Problem solving in complex EW environments
  • Interfacing with EW SMEs on modeling
  • Requirement analysis and management
  • Evaluating or developing system designs and architectures
  • Developing test plans and reports
  • Contributing to customer reviews
  • System integration and testing
  • Verifying and validating system designs
  • Supporting external testing (e.g., range and flight tests)
  • Analyzing and developing Electronic Attack techniques to counter threats

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
    • System engineering experience
    • Requirements management and analysis experience
    • Understanding of radar capabilities and processing
    • Knowledge of radar signal processing techniques
    • Some understanding of jammer processing
    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Master's Degree in Engineering
    • Leadership experience
    • Active Secret clearance
    • Design knowledge of EW hardware systems
    • Understanding of radar operation, RWR, SIGINT, and antenna technologies
    • Experience with operational concepts and mission planning
    • Knowledge of radar signal processing techniques
    • CAM training
    Pay Range

    $100,680 - $171,120 annually, based on market pay structures and individual qualifications.
