BAE Systems is looking for an Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer involved in developing, integrating, and testing complex real-time embedded electronic warfare systems. Candidates must hold an active U.S. security clearance and be skilled in areas needed for cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams. Our focus is on enhancing operational EW capabilities for various platforms, including RF sensing, signal processing, identification, detection, and geolocation of emitters.

This position involves developing, integrating, and testing new EW systems. Responsibilities include systems engineering functions such as developing and managing system requirements, operational concepts, performing architecture trade studies, originating design concepts, and conducting system integration and testing for complex EW systems. This role requires onsite work at a BAE Systems facility.

Responsibilities may include:
  1. Working with a team of hardware, software, and systems engineers on EW programs, performing functions such as:
  • Problem solving in large real-time EW system environments
  • Interfacing with EW SMEs on modeling complex EW systems
  • Requirement analysis and management
  • Evaluating or developing system designs and architectures
  • Developing and executing test plans and reports
  • Contributing to customer reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
  • Performing system-level integration and testing
  • Verifying and validating system designs against specifications
  • Supporting external testing (range tests, flight tests, etc.)
  • Analyzing and developing Electronic Attack techniques to counter threats to airborne platforms

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
    • System engineering experience
    • Requirements management/analysis experience
    • Understanding of radar capabilities and processing
    • Knowledge of radar signal processing techniques
    • Some understanding of jammer processing
    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Master's Degree in Engineering
    • Leadership experience
    • Active Secret clearance
    • Design knowledge of EW hardware systems
    • Understanding of radar operation and employment
    • Knowledge of RWR and SIGINT systems
    • Knowledge of advanced antenna technologies

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $100,680 - $171,120

    Note: Salaries depend on various factors including skills, education, experience, and market conditions.
