We are supporting an award-winning FX trading platform provider in the search for a technically strong Electronic Trading Support Analyst with hands-on experience supporting FIX protocol and real-time trading systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading financial technology business, providing technical support for critical trading infrastructure in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical or production support, with expertise in FIX connectivity, log analysis, Linux environments, and scripting. You will play a key role in investigating complex technical issues, maintaining platform reliability, and delivering exceptional customer support across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve technical issues across real-time electronic trading platforms.
• Troubleshoot FIX protocol connectivity, message flows, and trading system issues.
• Perform detailed log analysis, identify errors, and conduct root-cause investigations.
• Use Python or Bash scripting to automate tasks, analyse logs, and improve troubleshooting efficiency.
• Support RHEL/Linux environments, including command-line operations, process management, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Manage customer incidents and support tickets through to resolution, providing regular updates and escalating where required.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and structured handovers across global support teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve support processes, platform reliability, and the overall customer experience.
• FIX Protocol – Hands-on experience supporting FIX connectivity, message flows, and real-time trading systems.
• Logging & Troubleshooting – Strong log investigation skills, error identification, root-cause analysis, and configuration file management.
• Python/Bash Scripting – Practical scripting experience for automation, log analysis, and technical troubleshooting.
• RHEL/Linux Command Line – Strong command-line knowledge, including log analysis, process management, file system navigation, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Client/Customer Support – At least 2 years' experience in technical support, production support, or a customer-facing technical role, with strong incident management and communication skills.
• Incident Ownership – Ability to manage tickets, communicate updates, elevate issues, and drive problems through to resolution.
• Communication & Autonomy – A proactive approach, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work independently across global time zones.
• Experience supporting FX trading platforms or financial market technology.
• Familiarity with real-time trading environments and follow-the-sun support models.

Working Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable working the required UK time schedule and operating independently within a global support environment, maintaining clear communication and effective handovers across time zones.

Ideal Candidate

A technically strong support professional with at least 2 years of experience who combines FIX protocol expertise, strong logging and troubleshooting skills, Python/Bash scripting, RHEL/Linux command-line knowledge, and excellent client/customer support capabilities.
