Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our manufacturing and assembly team in Ronkonkoma, NY. In this hands-on role, you will perform functional, electrical, and mechanical testing on electronic sub-assemblies, PCBs, and completed products to verify quality and compliance with demanding specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimal 2 years of hands-on testing/maintenance experience.
• Experience with SMT/through-hole soldering and IPC standards.
• Strong ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Testing & Inspection: set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: identify root causes using schematics and tools.
• Rework & Repair: soldering and component replacements per IPC standards.
• Data Documentation: log results and non-conformance in ERP/QMS.
• Calibration & Maintenance: maintain lab equipment and fixtures.
• Process Improvement: refine test procedures with engineers.
• Compliance: maintain clean, safe, ESD workstation per SOPs/standards.
