Job summary

Ralliant is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to join our team in New York. The role involves testing electro-mechanical assemblies and PCB products, training staff, repairing and reworking PCBs, and supporting prototype testing.

Applicants should have a technical degree and hands-on PCB/machine tooling experience, with proficiency in LabVIEW and production software. Strong attention to detail and effective teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Technician or Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or similar degree required or preferred.
  • Experience in electromechanical and PCB assembly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LabVIEW, and production software.
  • Proficient with electromechanical hand tools.
  • Soldering including SMT.
  • Repair/rework of through-hole and SMT PCBs.
  • Ability to read and follow production work instructions and suggest improvements.
  • Ability to read engineering schematics/drawings.
  • Strong focus, prioritization, and multitasking.
  • Self-starter with urgency and reliability.
  • Detail-oriented with accurate work.
  • Clear communication with team members and delivering quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Testing of electro-mechanical assemblies and products.
  • Maintain 100% quality of work.
  • Train technicians and assemblers on mastered processes.
  • Test and troubleshoot PCBs.
  • Maintain material inventory control.
  • Repair and test customer products.
  • Rework through-hole and SMT PCB assemblies.
  • Support testing of engineering prototypes.
  • Recommend process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Ensure safety in production operations.
  • Keep process documentation current.
  • Ensure tools and equipment function properly.
  • Utilize LabVIEW or similar for PCBAs testing and troubleshooting.
