Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Technician I for a contract-to-hire role based in Wheeling, IL. You will troubleshoot electronic assemblies and system-level failures, working hands-on with test equipment and collaborating with Test Engineers and customers to resolve complex issues.

The role requires an EE degree and at least 2 years of experience with diagnostic tools, schematic reading, and tracking defects. It offers exposure to a broad range of products and growth opportunities on a stable

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE).
• At least 2 years of experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
• Proficient at reading schematics and electrical datasheets.
• Experience troubleshooting at assembly or system level down to components.
• Ability to track bugs and contribute to effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot assembly and system-level failures to the component level for repair.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers and customers to understand product functionality.
• Provide break-fix support for test equipment to keep testing systems operational.
• Use diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers) for detailed testing.
• Create and verify documentation, programs, models, or processes supporting testing.
