Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Chicago, IL seeks an Advanced Electronics Repair Technician (Debugging & Soldering) with strong board-level troubleshooting skills to repair prototypes and support CCA diagnostics.

You will read schematics, assemble and solder PCB assemblies, and replace components to revive non-functional boards. The role is onsite, temp-hire, offering a competitive pay range and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, EET, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years of electronic troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Strong soldering and board-level repair skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded electronics, and communication protocols such as RS-232/485, Ethernet, and USB.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, solder, rework, and repair electronic assemblies and PCBs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose circuit card assemblies down to the component level.
• Repair failed boards through component replacement and solder rework.
• Build and support prototypes, test fixtures, and production test equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
