Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Leesburg, VA is seeking an Electronic Technician to join our team. The position focuses on building, testing, and maintaining moderate electrical systems and components and performing diagnostic measurements to ensure quality and performance.

You will use SMT soldering, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools, while applying data analysis and a methodical approach to problem solving. Some travel and collaboration with teams will be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent military experience.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering experience.
• Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout software.
• Excellent soldering skills.
• Experience with data collection, data analysis and scientific method.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains, and tests moderate electrical systems and components.
• Uses measuring and diagnostics tools to test and modify electronic parts.
• Receives instruction on specific objects and direction on complex problems.
• Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
• May assist with communications pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
