Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Test Technician Team Lead to oversee mechanical assembly and testing of UAV components in our manufacturing facility. The role includes mentoring junior technicians and ensuring high-quality assembly processes.

The position requires hands-on experience with electronics/electro-mechanical assembly, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, air tools).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies mechanically using hand/power tools.
• Perform final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly documents and processes.
