PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Under close supervision, the electronic technician will be responsible for the acceptance testing of a variety of cable assemblies and related devices.
2. Performing Continuity and Isolation testing, Contact Separation and Retention testing, and Hi-pot testing.
3. Perform routine technical functions supporting development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment.
4. Work with applications including analog, digital, and video circuits and logic systems.
5. Follow guidance from superiors and work from schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or plans to perform testing, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and developmental engineering tasks.
6. Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems to ensure conformance with design specifications.
7. Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
8. Conduct engineering tests and collect data as assigned.
9. Utilize diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, signal generators, and similar tools.
10. Typically assigned to development, engineering, or test equipment design areas, excluding production test activities.
