PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Under close supervision, the electronic technician will be responsible for the acceptance testing of a variety of cable assemblies and related devices.
2. Responsibilities will include performing Continuity and Isolation testing, Contact Separation and Retention testing, and Hi-pot testing.
3. May also perform routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment.
4. Applications may include analog, digital, and/or video type circuits and logic systems.
5. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
6. Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
7. Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level.
8. Conducts defined engineering tests and collects data as assigned.
9. Utilizes routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, signal generators, and similar test apparatus.
10. Normally assigned in areas such as development, engineering, test equipment design, or similar fields.

EXPERIENCE and TRAINING:

Electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school.

Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $78,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
