Versar Global Solutions is seeking an Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician to provide preventative maintenance and installation of access control, intrusion detection, and CCV systems across federal facilities in the Germantown, MD area.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on ESS experience, ability to read blueprints, and driving certification within 90 days. A Top-Secret clearance and English communication are essential for on-site duties in Federal environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct experience in security systems installation.
• Experience with access control and intrusion detection systems.
• Ability to obtain CCURE 9000 certification within 90 days.
• Ability to read blueprints and building plans.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance required.
• Proficiency in English and communication with colleagues.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on Access Controls, including card readers and locks.
• Work on Intrusion Systems and Perimeter controls.
• Work on Video Management Systems (Bosch, Milestone, Axis).
• Read blueprints and verify wiring and layouts room-by-room.
• Perform system testing and signal verification.
• Assist teammates remotely or by phone as needed.
• Assess tools, inventory, and materials and order as needed.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
• Maintain professionalism in interactions with the public and agency personnel.
