Job summary

Versar Global Solutions seeks a highly skilled Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician for full-time work in Germantown, MD. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance of Access Control, Intrusion, and Video Management systems, with integration to monitor facilities and protect personnel and assets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, familiarity with C*CURE 9000, Bosch VMS, and Bosch Intrusion, and must obtain CCURE 9000 certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in security systems installation.
• Experience with access control and intrusion detection systems.
• Working knowledge of ESS platforms: Software House C*CURE 9000, Bosch Video Management System, and Bosch Intrusion System.
• Ability to obtain a Software House C*CURE 9000 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read blueprints and building plans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on Access Controls, including card readers, electronic or wireless locks, and card, biometric, and fingerprint devices.
• Perform work on Intrusion Systems and Prevention Systems, to include perimeter controls.
• Perform work on Video Management Systems, to include Bosch, Milestone, Axis.
• Terminate and dismantle devices and reconstruct equipment as required.
• Use ladders to access ceiling crawl spaces and attics, pull wires, and route cables.
• Clean up installation debris and maintain an orderly workspace.
• Analyze blueprints and building plans to confirm wiring placements and connection plans.
• Perform system testing and signal verification.
• Assist teammates with troubleshooting virtually or by phone.
• Assess tools, inventory, and material needs for replacement and ordering.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and communication with the public and agency personnel.
