Job summary

Versar Global Solutions, based in Washington, DC, is seeking a skilled Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician for their Germantown, MD project site. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on access control, intrusion, and video systems, integrating them to monitor the facility and protect personnel and assets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of directly relevant experience, knowledge of C*CURE 9000, Bosch VMS, and Bosch Intrusion, and holds or can obtain a Software House

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in security systems installation.
• Experience with access control systems and intrusion detection systems.
• Working knowledge of ESS platforms: C*CURE 9000, Bosch VMS, Bosch Intrusion System.
• Ability to obtain C*CURE 9000 certification within 90 days (company provided).
• Ability to read blueprints and building plans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to work in US.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance.
• Pre-employment screenings including federal background check and drug screen.
• Comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on Access Controls: card readers, electronic/ wireless locks, biometric devices.
• Work on Intrusion Systems and Perimeter controls.
• Work on Video Management Systems: Bosch, Milestone, AXIS.
• Terminate and dismantle devices and reconstruct equipment as required.
• Read blueprints to verify wiring and connection plans room-by-room and floor-by-floor.
• Test systems and verify signals; assist teammates remotely or by phone as needed.
• Manage tools, inventory, and material needs for replacements.
