Job summary

UNLV University Libraries invites applications for the position of Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian. The role manages print serial and electronic resource lifecycles in Alma, supports access, and coordinates license terms with publishers.

It also leads workflows, renewals, and documentation with the CIA and vendors. As a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate, the incumbent will engage in scholarly activities, service, and data analysis to support

Responsibilities

• Manages print serial and electronic resource lifecycles in Alma and resolves access issues.
• Leads acquisition and renewals of electronic resources and print serials, ensuring timely payments.
• Develops documentation for serial workflows, policies, and license terms in Alma.
• Negotiates and manages publisher/license agreements with CIA and vendors.
• Ensures licensed materials meet accessibility requirements and best practices.
• Serves as a primary liaison with vendors, publishers, and aggregators for subscriptions.
• Coordinates renewals, changes, cancellations, and claims; maintains accurate records.
• Communicates resource information to UNLV Libraries colleagues; supports data reporting.
• Engages in scholarly activities and service in accordance with UNLV standards.
