Job summary

UNLV University Libraries seeks an energetic Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian to lead the lifecycle of electronic resources and serials. You will manage access, licensing, and renewals, collaborating with CIA, Discovery Services, and Library Technologies to ensure seamless access and strong collection stewardship.

The role demands expertise in Alma/Primo, project management, and the ability to develop workflows and training materials.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience managing electronic resources in a library setting.
• Experience with subscriptions lifecycle, licensing, and access management.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages print serial and electronic resource lifecycle in Alma and resolves access issues.
• Leads acquisition, renewals, and payments for electronic resources and print serials.
• Develops and maintains workflows, policies, and training manuals for acquisitions and access.
• Negotiates license terms with publishers and vendors; tracks key terms in Alma.
• Coordinates with CIA and other stakeholders to ensure accessibility and data-driven resource management.
