Job summary

Sentinel Offender Services seeks an Equipment Technician (Criminal Justice) in Washington, DC. This entry-level role focuses on installing, removing, and troubleshooting electronic monitoring devices, GPS, and breath alcohol equipment, with daily client scheduling and inventory control.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, pay $25.00/hour, and benefits include health insurance, paid time off, vision insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Good time management to meet deadlines due to installation schedules.
• Able to work flexible schedules as needed.
• Effective communication with Department Personnel, Judges and Participants.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove various electronic monitoring equipment as requested using directed safety precautions.
• Provide support for service and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep accurate records of service calls.
• Inspect and maintain all monitoring and testing equipment, this includes cleaning equipment.
• Process alarms as required during shifts if applicable to program requirements.
• Assist with data entry of activity schedules as required.
• Telephone calls to participants when needed for equipment or collection purposes.
• Maintains calibration and repair records for all equipment serviced.
• Shipping and receiving functions for equipment and supplies per established procedures.
• Diagnosis and repair of EM equipment as outlined in company procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between Sentinel and/or other contracted agencies, as needed based on duty shifts
