Y99000 General Electric Company seeks technicians in Evendale, Ohio, for repairing electric and electronically controlled manufacturing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, testing, and replacing faulty components and ensuring proper operation of machines.
Applicants must have 2 years of relevant experience and be at least 18 years old. Knowledge of using measuring devices is essential. The company offers a supportive work environment with no relocation assistance.
Apply practical knowledge of electric/electronic theory to locate reasons for malfunction and effectively repair root causes in all types of electric/electronically controlled manufacturing equipment such as machine tools, integrated manufacturing quality control equipment, balance machines, welders, lasers, etc.
Work on new equipment after technical information is complete and procedures/maintenance norms are established.
Test and replace faulty components including vacuum tubes, solid‑state devices, relay logic components, motivators, feedback devices, transducers, etc., using various test and measuring devices such as tube testers, VOMs, VTVMs, digital meters, recorders, oscilloscopes, etc.
After repairs, functionally test equipment (with operator assistance if required), perform initial “check‑out” to ensure proper operation.
Perform all repairs, including planned maintenance, rebuilding components and assemblies, layout of electric panels, makeup of electrical/electronic circuits for equipment testing purposes, technology controls, touch‑up of painted surfaces disturbed during repair, and maintain records related duties.
2 years diagnosing trouble and performing complicated repair work on all types of electric and electronically controlled machine tools or manufacturing equipment. Must pass a written assessment.
This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and may include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. A requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
