Job summary

GE Aerospace in Florida is seeking a technically skilled professional to provide production and aftermarket repair support for electronic and electro-mechanical systems. The role involves setting up test equipment, following procedures and schematics, and performing troubleshooting and calibration to ensure instruments meet standards.

The candidate will perform repairs/overhauls, handle hazardous materials, and may work overtime as required within a safety-rated facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18+ at joining.
  • 2-year technical degree/certificate or 2+ years industry exp with 3+ years related job exp.
  • Experience using a digital multimeter and an oscilloscope.
  • Able to read and understand technical information with strong communication skills.
  • Capable of lifting/moving up to 35 lbs, handling hazardous materials, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for production or aftermarket repair services for electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to test complex equipment per procedures, schematics, and docs, including vibration/thermal testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment using schematics and knowledge of systems and components.
  • Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain measuring instruments to meet standards.
  • Perform repair and overhaul services for assigned technology.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities with authority to execute all tasks.

Job Description Summary

The individual is authorized to execute all assigned tasks and handle additional responsibilities as needed.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for production or aftermarket repair services for electronic and electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to test complex equipment using established procedures, schematics, and relevant documentation, including vibration and thermal cycle testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment using schematics and in‑depth knowledge of the assigned technology, systems, and components.
  • Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain measuring and indicating instruments to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Perform repair and overhaul services for assigned technology.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned, with authority to execute all tasks.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 18 years of age at time of joining (role may involve high‑risk or hazardous operations).
  • 2‑year technical degree, certificate, equivalent military training, or at least 2 years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 years of related job experience.
  • Prior experience using a digital multimeter (DMM) and oscilloscope.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical information and instructions, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of lifting/moving materials up to 35 pounds, working with hazardous materials, and working overtime as required.
Desired Skills / Experience
  • Proficient in using a personal computer to navigate online documents, drawings, and instructions.
  • At least 3 years of related job experience.
  • Experience working in a team‑oriented environment.
