Job summary

Astronautics, headquartered in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead first-shift Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) operations. You will direct operators and technicians, coordinate staffing and priorities, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time production.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Electronic Assembly and Support, you will manage WIP, productivity, and continuous‑improvement efforts while maintaining compliance with ESD, 5S, and quality standards in a dynamic

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. person as defined under U.S. export regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum three years of experience in electronic or electromechanical manufacturing.
Working knowledge of electronic manufacturing and CCA processes, including SMT, inspection, testing, and related finishing operations.
Ability to read and follow manufacturing work instructions, specifications, and quality requirements.
Experience using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in electronics manufacturing or shift-based production.
Experience with SMT, electronic assembly, inspection, testing, or related CCA finishing processes.
Experience with AS9100/ISO quality management systems and MRB processes.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and provide day-to-day direction and performance feedback to operators and technicians.
Prioritize and assign work, manage material flow, and maintain WIP levels to meet schedules.
Monitor production performance, schedule attainment, labor utilization, and costs; adjust resources as needed.
Identify bottlenecks and resolve production issues with cross-functional teams.
Ensure compliance with work instructions, procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Coordinate training and cross-training to build staffing flexibility.
Identify continuous-improvement opportunities to reduce waste and improve throughput.
Escalate significant issues requiring additional support and resources.
Ensure production follows approved drawings and quality documentation; support root-cause analysis.
