Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America in Oak Creek, WI seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead first‑shift Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) operations. You will direct daily activities of operators and technicians, manage WIP, and ensure production meets schedules with strong focus on safety, quality, and process discipline.

You will coordinate staffing, train employees, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Planning to resolve issues. First shift is 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of experience in electronic or electromechanical manufacturing.
Working knowledge of electronic manufacturing and CCA processes, SMT, inspection, testing, and finishing operations.
Ability to prioritize production activities, allocate labor, manage WIP, and respond to changing requirements.
Ability to read and follow manufacturing work instructions and quality requirements.
Experience using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and provide day-to-day direction and performance feedback to operators and technicians.
Prioritize and assign work, manage material flow, and maintain WIP to meet production schedules.
Monitor production performance, schedule attainment, labor utilization, overtime and rework; adjust resources as needed.
Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints; collaborate with planning, materials, quality, and engineering to resolve them.
Ensure compliance with work instructions, procedures, specs, quality, safety, and 5S.
Coordinate training and cross-training to build staffing flexibility and skills across CCA processes.
Identify and pursue continuous-improvement opportunities to reduce waste and improve cycle time.
Escalate significant issues and ensure production follows approved docs and drawings.
