Job summary

Bird in Solon, OH, is seeking an Electronic Assembler to join a team building RF components and assemblies. The role involves soldering through-hole and surface mount parts to PCBs, following routing instructions, and using wave solder equipment to complete subassemblies.

The candidate will read work orders, align parts, perform line inspections, and participate in testing to meet quality standards, with a focus on lean processes and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Soldersing experience with through-hole and SMT components.
• Ability to use small hand tools and run assembly machines.

Responsibilities

• Develop an environment of continual improvement through Lean tools.

• Describe the quality policy and goals and your impact on quality.
• Read work orders and follow production drawings.
• Position parts in specified relation on PCBs and assemblies.
• Perform soldering to IPC standards (through hole & SMT).
• Set up and operate wave solder machine.
• Assemble per routing instructions.
• Mount assembled subassemblies as required.
• Connect leads between components and other parts.
• Install finished assemblies in cases.
• Perform on-line go/no-go inspections and ensure specs.
• Perform computerized testing as required.
