Job summary

Ascension is hiring for a Neurodiagnostic Lab role in Indianapolis, operating EEG equipment during nights. You will prepare patients, perform electrode placement, monitor procedures, and report findings to physicians.

Required are a high school diploma with experience or an associate/technical degree; inclusion of BLS; ABRET credentialing is preferred. Pro Rata benefits and hospital environment support growth.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date/transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from ABRET preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from the electroencephalograph machine.
• Review the patient's record and instruct patients before procedures. Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct for artifacts. Edit and forward results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

Education

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

Education

• Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
• At least one year of experience preferred
