Job summary

STR is seeking an Electromechanical Technician Lead to lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of high-visibility programs from Wilmington, MA, transitioning to Woburn, MA. You will assemble, test, and maintain electrical and electromechanical systems and provide feedback to design teams.

As the lead, you will coordinate daily work, ensure quality, read schematics, and work with Engineering to improve manufacturability while maintaining safety and lab operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience assembling, maintaining, testing, and repairing electromechanical systems.
• Experience with RF, Radar, antenna, acoustic, and undersea hardware.
• Read, interpret, and refine work instructions and drawings.
• Excellent independent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with tools used in electromechanical assembly and power tools.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex electrical and electromechanical components and systems for operational environments.
• Fabricate and assemble hardware including wire harnesses, cables, connectors, and fasteners.
• Follow IPC or Aerospace and Defense assembly standards where applicable.
• Support and conduct tests using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and function generators.
• Read, create, revise, and document technical work to maintain manufacturing history.
• Coordinate daily activities in the assembly bay and maintain lab operations.
