Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician in Taunton, MA to support advanced electromechanical systems through assembly, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting on defense programs.

You will work with engineers and technicians in a lab environment, building prototype hardware, testing equipment, and implementing process improvements while contributing to project schedules and technical goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics, electrical, mechanical tech or engineering tech.
• 1+ year supporting engineering labs, prototyping or technical operations.
• 1+ year assembling, testing, troubleshooting or repairing electronic/electromechanical systems.
• 1+ year using lab tools, hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• 2+ years in engineering development, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Layout, build, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify electronic/electromechanical assemblies and systems.
• Support prototype hardware, experimental circuitry, and specialized test equipment.
• Construct, calibrate, align, diagnose, adjust and maintain equipment.
• Calibrate and verify alignment.
• Prepare chemicals and materials for testing and lab activities.
• Build tools and fixtures from drawings and instructions.
• Conduct engineering experiments and document results.
• Analyze data to identify trends and root causes.
• Develop tooling to support engineering needs.
• Support continuous improvement and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet schedules and objectives.
