Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience with hand tools and mechanical or electromechanical assembly on a manufacturing floor.
• Experience in an industrial or shop-floor environment beyond classroom setting is preferred.
• Ability to follow workplace instructions and communicate clearly with team members.

Responsibilities

• Build components, subassemblies, and systems on the shop floor with production teams.
• Fit, adjust, and test assembled hardware to verify form, function, and conformance to specs.
• Troubleshoot assembly and production issues in real time with technicians and operators.
• Support manufacturing line troubleshooting by observing processes and gathering data for corrective actions.
• Document assembly procedures and process observations to support continuous improvement.
• Contribute technical input as manufacturing programs transition from design to production.
