Job summary

The Davis Companies Inc. seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician in Nashua, NH for a contract-to-hire role. The position supports electronic component manufacturing with a daytime schedule (M-F, 7am-3:30pm) and pay between $23 and $25 per hour.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with soldering and assembly in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include following assembly procedures, testing electronics, coordinating with engineers on test procedures, and transitioning new products

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing electrical and mechanical assemblies.
• IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-610 certifications are highly preferred.
• Proven ability to work in a high mix, mid-volume production line.
• Excellent attention to detail; able to follow or document processes; communicate quality concerns.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow assembly procedures for installation of SMT or through-hole components.
• Assemble electronic products with soldering expertise.
• Manufacture and test instrumentation, cable assemblies and ultrasonic transducers.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve testing procedures and results.
• Record defects on tags and return units for repair.
• Work with engineering to transition new products into production with proper documentation and fixtures.
• Operate in a manufacturing test environment with moderate noise and adjustable climate; balance sitting and standing as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Electro-Mechanical Technician - Contract to Hire

An electronic component manufacturing is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician inNashua, NH. This is a temp to hire opportunity!

Shift of the Electro-Mechanical Technician:

M-F 7am-3:30pm

Pay Rate of the Electro-Mechanical Technician:

$23/hr - $25.00/hr

Responsibilities of the Electro-Mechanical Technician:

• Interpret and follow assembly procedures for installation of SMT or Thru-hole components
• Expertise in the assembly of electronic products with specific experience in soldering
• Manufacture and test instrumentation, cables assemblies andultrasonic transducers
• Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve corrective actions
• Records defects on tag attached to unit and returns unit to production department for repair
• Work with engineering to transition new products into production, assuring that proper documentation, test fixtures, inspection requirements and equipment are in place to facilitate a smooth transition to production
• This position is performed in a manufacturing test environment with moderate noise level and artificial climate control. Duties require both sitting and standing for varied amounts of time
• All other duties as assigned

Requirementsof the Electro-Mechanical Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experiencein manufacturing electrical and mechanical assemblies
• IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-610 certified highly preferred
• Proven ability to work in a high mix, mid-volume production line
• The individual in this position must have excellent attention to detail; ability to follow, or document processes; ability to communicate quality concerns to employees
• The ability to perform electronic testing of PCB’s or systems would be a strong plus
• Understanding of Bill of Material structure in assembly processes
• QA experience is a strong plus for this position
