Job summary

Planmeca USA Inc. is seeking a Technical Support Specialist who can blend hardware diagnostics with software troubleshooting.

You will support customers and field technicians over the phone, guide them through complex hardware repairs and network configurations, and spend hands-on time in our lab performing QA on returned units. The role operates on a rotating schedule, mixing dedicated troubleshooting with rapid intake triage and precise case notes.

Qualifications

Hardware Repair Experience: hands-on repair including opening devices and using a multimeter.
OS Proficiency: ability to troubleshoot Windows and Mac environments.
Networking Knowledge: basic IP addressing and network concepts.
Customer Service Skills: strong communication while guiding remote users.

Responsibilities

Remote Hardware Diagnostics: guide customers and technicians through electromechanical troubleshooting.
Software & Network Support: troubleshoot connectivity and software issues on Windows and Mac.
Hands-on Repair: QA and repair returned units in the lab, replacing components as needed.
Intake & Triage: maintain fast response times and detailed case notes.
Clear Communication: translate technical steps into user-friendly guidance.
