Job summary

DOC SERVICES is seeking Electromechanical Field Service Technicians to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electromechanical equipment in large retail stores. Technicians operate from home and respond to service calls across the US.

The role emphasizes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, plus safety documentation, parts ordering and timely on-site service. A high school diploma or GED and 2 years of repair experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of equipment repair experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read schematics.
• Use computer applications including Microsoft Office and call management software.
• Know and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair.
• Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record along with proof of insurance.
• Satisfactory background check is required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitude.
• Written, verbal and electronic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing equipment.
• Abide by OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE requirements.
• Respond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
• Provide documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld device.
• Perform cost effective service and repairs while maintaining quality.
• Seek technical support on-site promptly to avoid delays.
• Be reachable by phone for reactive service repairs unless otherwise approved.
• Order parts needed for repair and maintain inventory.
• Arrive on-time with tools, instructions and safety equipment.
• Travel to and from customer locations and perform inventory reconciliation.
• Return parts as requested and in a timely fashion.
• Evaluate preventable service problems and educate or recommend to customers.
• Other duties as needed.
