Job summary

DOC SERVICES is seeking Electromechanical Field Service Technicians to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on electromechanical equipment inside retail stores. Technicians work from home and respond to service calls, traveling to sites as scheduled.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment, follow safety regulations, maintain documentation on handheld devices, and order parts as needed. The role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of repair experience, with

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum two years of equipment repair experience.
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read schematics.
Use computer applications including Microsoft Office and call management software.
Know and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair.
Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail oriented.
Valid driver's license and good driving record along with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing equipment.
Abide by all OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE requirements.
Respond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
Provide all documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld device.
Perform cost effective service and repairs while maintaining quality.
Seek out technical support while onsite timely so as not to prolong time spent to remedy a repair.
Available to be reached via phone for reactive service repairs unless otherwise approved.
Order the correct parts needed for the repair.
Maintain inventory on hand and keep organized for the ability to quickly find the part when needed for the job.
Arrive to job on-time and prepared with tools, instructions, parts and safety equipment.
Travel to and from customer locations.
Perform inventory reconciliation accurately and as scheduled.
Return parts as requested, following instructions and in a timely fashion.
As directed by DSM, evaluate preventable service problems at customer locations and educate or make recommendation to customer.
