Job summary

DOC SERVICES is seeking an Electromechanical Field Service Technician who will operate from home and respond to service calls at big box retail locations across the region. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and document all activities using handheld devices.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of repair experience, and strong electrical/mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of equipment repair experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; read schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and call management software.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and insurance.
• Background check required; professional appearance.
• Written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing equipment.
• Abide by OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE requirements.
• Respond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
• Provide all documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld device.
• Perform cost effective service and repairs while maintaining quality.
• Seek out technical support while onsite timely to avoid delays.
• Travel to and from customer locations as needed.
• Return parts as requested, following instructions and in a timely fashion.
• Assist in evaluating preventable service problems and educate customers.
