Job summary

DOC SERVICES is seeking Electromechanical Field Service Technicians to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on electromechanical equipment in big box retail stores across the US. The role requires traveling from home to customer sites, reading schematics, and providing timely documentation via handheld devices.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of equipment repair experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or combination of training and experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read and understand schematics.
• Use computer applications including Microsoft Office and call management software.
• Know and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair.
• Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record along with proof of insurance.
• Satisfactory background check is required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitude.
• Written, verbal and electronic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing equipment.
• Abide by OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE requirements.
• Respond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
• Provide all documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld device.
• Perform cost effective service and repairs while maintaining quality.
• Seek technical support while onsite timely to avoid delays.
• Travel to and from customer locations.
• Maintain inventory and ensure parts are available for repairs.
• Arrive on-time with tools, instructions, parts and safety equipment.
