Job summary

DOC SERVICES provides preventative and reactive maintenance on electromechanical equipment for big box retailers. Technicians work from home and respond to service calls across the United States, performing repairs, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2+ years repair experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, safety compliance, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or combination of training and experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read schematics
• Use computer applications including Microsoft Office and call management software
• Know and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair
• Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail oriented
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record along with proof of insurance
• Satisfactory background check is required
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitude
• Written, verbal and electronic communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing equipment
• Abide by all OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE requirements
• Respond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements
• Provide all documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld device
• Travel to and from customer locations
• Order the correct parts needed for the repair
• Maintain inventory on hand and keep organized for the ability to quickly find the part when needed for the job
• Arrive to job on-time and prepared with tools, instructions, parts and safety equipment
• As directed by DSM, evaluate preventable service problems at customer locations and educate or make recommendation to customer
• Other duties as needed
